School District 117 Seeks to Fill Two Board Seats

Due to having only two (2) candidates run for four (4) open positions on the April 4, 2017 ballot, the North Palos Elementary School District 117 Board of Education is seeking applicants to fill two (2) positions.

TERM: May 2017 through April 2019
QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified elector/registered voter
RESIDENCY: Must be a U.S. citizen of the age of 18 or over and a resident of the State and the territory encompassing the district for one year preceding the appointment. In addition, a member cannot serve as a school trustee or school treasurer. (105ILCS 5/10-10)
DEADLINE: May 5, 2017. Interviews with the Board of Education tentatively will be held at the May 16, 2017 Board of Education Meeting.
