October 23, 2025 Update from the Mayor
Children’s Halloween Party and Trunk or Treat in City Hall Parking Lot Saturday, October 25 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
The event is free to residents of Hickory Hills and will feature hay rides, face painting and a magician. To add to the festivities, the Hills Chamber also will be holding its annual Trunk or Treat in the City Hall parking lot. This really is a great family event so we hope to see you there. Children (and adults) are encouraged to wear costumes.
Still Time to Sign Up for the 2025 Howl Through The Hills 5K Run/Walk to Benefit Hickory-Palos Sertoma and Wellness House
The weather for Saturday looks great and there is still time to sign up for the 10th Annual Howl Through the Hills 5K walk/run. The event will take place at 9AM on Saturday, October 25, 2025. There is still time to sign up online (see below) and you also can sign up the morning of the event. We recommend that you arrive no later than 8 a.m. if you intend to sign up the morning of the race. The race will start and finish at Hickory Hills City Hall. https://hickoryhillsil.org/howl

Michigan’s Cooper Farms will be in the city hall parking lot on Friday, October 24 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. This will be the last time this year that we can enjoy fruits, produce, pumpkins and jam from Cooper’s Michigan harvest.
