Reminder that Last Yard Waste Pick Up Is this Week!

The last day of yard waste pick up is the day of your regular garbage pickup this week. If your pickup day is Thursday, then Friday, November 28 is your last yard waste pick up date.

Howl Through the Hills 5k a Great Success!

Sorry, I am a tardy with an update, but we had nearly 300 runners and walkers participate in the Howl Through the Hills 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, October 25. All money raised for the event will benefit the Wellness House for Living with Cancer and the Hickory-Palos Sertoma Club that aids people with hearing loss.

This year’s event was the best ever thanks to the incredible efforts of City employees, Mary Esposito and Michalene Maola. Mary and Michalene organized and managed virtually all aspects of the race and helped assure its success. Congratulations to the Howl Through the Hills Race Champion, Christine Droba, the Superintendent of North Palos School District 117!
