April 6, 2026 Update from the Mayor
Boil Order Lifted. All Tap Water Throughout Town is Safe for Consumption
The City of Hickory Hills has received the sample results from yesterday’s precautionary boil order for residents East of 82nd Avenue. The samples came back as meeting or exceeding IEPA standards by a certified laboratory. This means the precautionary boil order is lifted and is no longer in effect. You may return to normal use of your water service and all residents no longer have to boil any water to be consumed. We thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Public Works can be reached at 598-7855 if you have further questions.
Much appreciation to Sue Lehr, our Public Works Director, and our talented public works team who worked the entire holiday yesterday to get our water service back up and running.
Mayor Mike
