The First Ever International Unified Cup – a soccer match involving competitive athletes with and without intellectual disabilities – playing together. The event will be held on Friday, July 20th and is in celebration of Special Olympics 50th Anniversary and it will take place locally at Toyota Park in Bridgeview. The match will include professional soccer players Didier Drogba and Hidetoshi Nakata who will play unified with other celebrities and Special Olympic Athletes. There’s no charge to attend the event. The event is going to be televised on ESPN.
