June 22, 2020 Update from the Mayor
I hope that all of our fathers had a great Father’s Day!
Today, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced 462 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Illinois with 18,219 test specimens reported in the last 24 hours. Laboratories have reported a total of 1,379,003 tests administered in Illinois to date. IDPH has reported a total of 137,224 cases, including 6,671 deaths, including 26 deaths in the last 24 hours, in Illinois. Preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total tests from June 15 through June 21 is 2%. Hickory Hills now has 128 confirmed cases of COVID with 4 confirmed related deaths.
Unless you have a medical condition, always wear a mask in public when social distancing is not assured.
Phase 4
Each of the state’s four regions are on track to move into phase 4 of Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s reopening plan on June 26. The Governor’s Office has asked me to forward the following link to the Restore Illinois Phase 4 guidelines.

If current trends continue, and there is no reason to think they will not, we will enter Phase 4 this Friday, June 26th.
