August 18, 2020 Update from the Mayor
Illinois public health officials recently announced 1,562 new known cases of COVID and 18 additional confirmed deaths. Hickory Hills now has 202 confirmed cases and 5 COVID related deaths. Hickory Hills has a -25% recent percent change trending down in new cases reported.

Ricky Rockets Property Clearing Work Has Begun
Site scraping and heavy construction work will soon begin on the former Lexington House property as the proposed Ricky Rockets development moves into high gear. The property owners have indicated that they hope to have the business and adjacent retail center open in about 1 year from today.
Return to School
Best of luck to all teachers, staff, and school administration as the 2020-2021 school year gets set to begin. We all need to continue working together in the interest of public health to best ensure the health and safety of these essential education workers and our local students.
