O’Callaghan Children Brighten Our Evening At City Council Meeting

Several weeks ago I received a voice mail from a former west suburban village trustee who wanted to make us aware of the good deeds of some local Hickory Hills children.  Jack, Saoirse and Fiadh O’Callaghan (Pictured below), learned of a horrible domestic violence incident involving the former trustee’s infant granddaughter.  The children immediately decided that they wished to raise money to support the baby’s recovery.  The kids set up a front yard stand to sell their cherished Pokemon cards and raised over $100 to help the baby!  The grandfather and his family were so touched by this gesture that he wanted to make sure that everyone in their hometown was aware.

At our last city council meeting we recognized the O’Callaghan children and the recovering baby and her family surprised us all by attending the ceremony and presenting the children with thank you gifts from the family.  Baby Blake Lynn is gorgeous and we hope that she continues to heal and fully recover.
