CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Hickory Hills City Council was called to order by Mayor Howley on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.

Alderman Stachnik moved to open the meeting to the public. Alderman Waight second. Roll call: Aldermen Ferrero, Fonte, Kman, McHugh, Purtill, Stachnik, Waight, Zimmerman aye. So approved.
No one spoke during this portion of the meeting.
CLOSE TO THE PUBLIC
Alderman Ferrero moved to close the meeting to the public. Alderman Waight second. Roll call: Aldermen Ferrero, Fonte, Kman, McHugh, Purtill, Stachnik, Waight, Zimmerman aye. So approved.
JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS
Alderman Ferrero moved to approve the minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of January 12, 2023, as printed subject to deletions or corrections. Alderman Kman second. Roll call: Aldermen Ferrero, Fonte, Kman, McHugh, Purtill, Stachnik, Waight, Zimmerman aye. So approved.

CITY ATTORNEY
Attorney Cainkar presented Ordinance #23-02, an ordinance approving a real estate sale contract for the purchase of the property located at 9430 S. 77th Avenue by the City of Hickory Hills, IL. Attorney Cainkar noted this property is adjacent to the property the City recently purchased. Alderman Waight moved to approve Ordinance #23-02. Alderman McHugh second. Roll call: Aldermen Ferrero, Fonte, Kman, McHugh, Purtill, Stachnik, Waight, Zimmerman aye. So approved.
CITY ENGINEER
Mr. Spolar reported Robinson Engineering has reviewed the bids received on January 23, 2023 for the 89th Street & Maple Lane Water Main Replacement Project (DCEO Grant #21-203006). The bids are as follows:

Mr. Spolar is recommending that the contract be awarded to the low bidder, J. Congdon Sewer Service, Inc. in the amount
of eight hundred thirteen thousand four hundred seventy-six dollars and sixty-three cents ($813,476.63). Alderman Zimmerman moved to award this contract to J. Congdon Sewer Service, Inc. in the amount of $813,476.63. Alderman Kman second. Roll call: Aldermen Ferrero, Fonte, Kman, McHugh, Purtill, Stachnik, Waight, Zimmerman aye. So approved.

Alderman Kman moved to approve the bills payable for the second half of January 2023 in the amount of $182,690.25. Alderman Waight second. Roll call: Aldermen Ferrero, Fonte, Kman, McHugh, Purtill, Stachnik, Waight, Zimmerman aye. So approved.

Alderman Purtill presented two business license applications. 1) New Beginnings Roberts Road, LLC DBA Remax Real Estate located at 8714 S. Roberts Road. 2) Inspirations by Halina LLC located at 8330 W. 95th Street, Unit 1A. This is a floral shop. No objections were noted.

Alderman Ferrero reported the Community Affairs Committee is currently working on the Street Fair applications for the Street Fair. The Street Fair will be held on Sunday, June 25th.
