The Hickory Hills City Council took time out of its Jan. 26th meeting to salute a resident and local businessman for coming to the aid of a “road rage” assault victim and being injured during an altercation with the victim’s assailants last year on Oct. 6th. Mr. Ghandi Dini, a Hickory Hills resident and co-owner of the Chill ‘N Grill Spot Restaurant, 9348 S. Roberts Rd., was presented with a “Good Samaritan Proclamation of Recognition and Gratitude” by the council, a letter of commendation from the Police Department and a membership in the Hills Chamber of Commerce. After the Proclamation was presented, Mayor Howley said, “Residents who are truly grateful for his act of heroism and selflessness should express their thanks by patronizing his business.”
