COVID-19 Response Procedures
The Hickory Hills Police Department is deeply concerned about the health of our residents, visitors to our great City and of course our employees. In light of the COVID-19 situation, we are following the health experts’ guidelines on social distancing and avoiding unnecessary contact. We are still here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week but we are making some changes to our response policy. We will be responding to all calls that need a police officer present. In turn, we will be screening calls to determine the best level of response. If it is a delayed incident, such as the front license plate on your car is lost, we will likely handle those types of calls over the telephone, with an officer calling you back.
In addition, we encourage everyone to try and handle as much of their business with the Police Department through telephone and email. Our Records Division is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM and can be reached at 708-598-4900 or LLorek@HickoryHlsPD.us. Many of the routine items that you come to our beautiful station for, such as a copy of a report, can be handled through a phone call and email.
Rest assured, the Hickory Hills Police Department response to crime is unchanged, we are still responding to all emergency and in progress calls during the COVID-19 outbreak and we are actively patrolling the streets keeping them safe.
