Area Wide Protests

Citizens of Hickory Hills,

Just wanted to let you all know that as of this writing there has been no incidents in Hickory Hills related to the regional protests. Several communities to our east have experienced looting and other acts of vandalism, but our police department has been following the activity very closely and has increased patrols on our streets. CVS and Walgreens have decided to temporarily close and other stores may be considering doing the same. Our police are actively communicating with business owners.

Though there has been no “incidents” within our community, out of an abundance of caution I would recommend that you refrain from venturing too far from home the rest of today and this evening.
