Shooting Incident Today in Bridgeview

As you may have seen on the news or perhaps heard the police activity this afternoon, there was a shooting at the Bridgeview Secretary of State’s office near 87th Street and Oketo Avenue.  The offenders fled in a vehicle which was spotted near 95 Street and Cicero and then a chase ensued.  Eventually the offenders exited I-294 at 95 Street and headed westbound.   The offenders fled on foot from the car near 97th  Street and Roberts Road westbound into Palos Hills.  All suspects were apprehended in Palos Hills.  Other than the six block route through our City, no offenses occurred here.  As reported on the news, the victim was targeted and sadly, passed away at the hospital. Numerous area police departments responded and fortunately, no law enforcement officer was injured.   Our wonderful police department and many other police officers from adjacent towns did all of us proud.
