March 8, 2021 Update from the Mayor
CDC Guidelines for Fully Vaccinated
The Center for Disease Control issued initial guidelines today for individuals who have been fully vaccinated. Here’s a link to them:
When You’ve Been Fully Vaccinated | CDC
Please note people are considered fully vaccinated:
- 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, like Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or
- 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, like Johnson & Johnson’s
People who have been fully vaccinated are asked to follow some basic prevention steps especially if they know they may have contact with those who may not have been vaccinated. The prevention steps are provided in the above link.
There are now 1,1130 confirmed cumulative COVID cases in Hickory Hills with 21 related deaths. As many of us await vaccinations, please continue to practice social distancing, masking and good hygiene practices.
