CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Hickory Hills City Council was called to order by Mayor Mike Howley on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 7:33 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.

Alderman Waight moved to open the meeting to the public. Alderman Kman second. Roll call: Aldermen Ferrero, Kman, McHugh, Purtill, Stachnik, Waight, Zimmerman aye. So approved.
No one spoke during this portion of the meeting.
CLOSE TO THE PUBLIC
Alderman Purtill moved to close the meeting to the public. Alderman Waight second. Roll call: Aldermen Ferrero, Kman, McHugh, Purtill, Stachnik, Waight, Zimmerman aye. So approved.
JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS
Alderman McHugh moved to approve the minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of October 14, 2021 as printed subject to deletions or corrections. Alderman Purtill second. Roll call: Aldermen Ferrero, McHugh, Purtill, Stachnik, Waight, Zimmerman aye. Alderman Kman pass. So approved.
REPORTS OF CITY OFFICIALS
MAYOR

CITY CLERK
Clerk Catizone presented the Cook County Intergovernmental Agreement for Environmental Health Inspectional Services. No change in the current price of $100.00 per inspection. Alderman Waight moved to approve the Environmental Health Inspectional Services Agreement with Cook County. Alderman Ferrero second. Roll call: Aldermen Ferrero, Kman, McHugh, Purtill, Stachnik, Waight, Zimmerman aye. So approved.
CITY TREASURER
Treasurer Vodicka reported at this evenings Committee Meeting, the Council discussed the contract increase from Waste Management’s At Your Door Special Collection. Alderman Waight moved the City absorb the $0.04 contract increase. Alderman Purtill second. Roll call: Aldermen Ferrero, Kman, McHugh, Purtill, Stachnik, Waight, Zimmerman aye. So approved.

COMMUNICATIONS
BILLS PAYABLE
Alderman Kman moved to approve the bills payable for the second half of October 2021 in the amount of $482,727.41. Alderman Waight second. Roll call: Aldermen Ferrero, Kman, McHugh, Purtill, Stachnik, Waight, Zimmerman aye. So approved.
STANDING COMMITTEES
Kman/Finance
Alderman Kman reported there has been an adjustment in the City’s general insurance premium due to the fact flood insurance was needed at the Public Works Facility. The new premium is $14,000.00. Alderman Kman thanked Monika in the Clerk’s Office for catching this oversight.
Stachnik/Public Safety

Zimmerman/Public Works
Ms. Lehr reported Public Works distributed to the Council the proposed street renovation program for 2022. Public Works has not received any concerns regarding this program so they will turn it over to Robinson Engineering to prepare for the bidding process.
McHugh/Bldg./Facilities

Purtill/Laws & Ordinances
Alderman Purtill is in receipt of two business license applications. 1) Lab Serve, LLC located at 8723 W. 95th Street. 2) Hickory Hills Food & Liquor located at 7700 W. 95th Street. After a lengthy discussion, these two proposed businesses approvals were delayed until attorney review.
Fonte/Health & Environmental Control
Alderman Fonte was absent. No report submitted.
Ferrero/Community Affairs/Youth Advisory
Alderman Ferrero reported all is prepared for the Children’s Halloween Party which be held on Saturday, October 30th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Waight/Chamber Business Development

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Mayor Howley presented a request from the owners of the Pit Rib House. They are requesting to change their liquor license to Class C from Class E. No objections were noted and this will be placed on the next meeting agenda.
