Holiday Lights Celebration

Thanks again to the wonderful Stagg High School Madrigal Choir for sharing the joy of the season with us at the city holiday lights ceremony last week.  We had a wonderful turnout and a few surprise guests also stopped in.  The holiday lights are on display next to city hall each evening so be sure to drive by to enjoy the display.

Elsie’s Pantry is open to people living in Palos Hills, Palos Park, Palos Heights, Hickory Hills, Willow Springs, Justice, Orland Park, and a part of Bridgeview.  Admittance is also based on monthly income level. People living outside these areas may come one time only.  For more information about qualifications, please call Beth Heinrich, Director of the Pantry at 708-598-4435.

Elsie’s Food Pantry regularly serves 110 families a week.  With the holiday season approaching, Beth, the Pantry Director, said that they would appreciate donations of pasta, mac and cheese, rice, spaghetti sauce, canned fruit, toothpaste and tooth brushes, toilet paper, pet foods and treats…..but are pleased with any donation.  The City of Hickory Hills (as well as Byline Bank, the Hills Chamber and Strange Brew Café) has a drop off box in the lobby of City Hall, located at 9652 W. 95th Street.  See below.
