Figlia Miya’s Pizzeria Opens in Hickory Hills at 8033 W. 87th Street
Last week we attended a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of a new pizzeria in Hickory Hills. The owners, Jorge and Mireya Reyes and family, are pictured below. Mireya is the daughter of long time Hickory Hills’ residents Benito and Eva Bustamente. Give Figlia Miya’s a call at 708/907-5910. You also can dine in. Online reviews already are very positive and Hickory Hills Alderman Brian Waight also gives Figlia Miya’s a thumbs up!
Residential Waste Pick Up Reminder
Alderman Steven Makropoulous wants to remind residents that if at all possible to please place waste cans out the night before your scheduled pick up day. This will assure that garbage will be picked up as scheduled. The LRS garbage truck operators start their routes very early in the morning and some residents have placed waste toters at the curb after the truck has passed.
Memorial Day Weekend
As you enjoy the Memorial Day Weekend, please take time to remember and honor those U.S. military personnel who died in the line of duty. The freedom that we all continue to enjoy is due to those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving this country.
