Power Restoration Update 

According to a ComEd update a few minutes ago, power is now restored in the entire city with the exception of 1 customer who had an outage this morning from a damaged limb that fell.  ComEd crews are on the way to restore.   

Assistance from American Red Cross of Illinois

I spoke with the Communications Director of the American Red Cross yesterday and they are driving around our city today and offering assistance at certain homes that they identify.  I mention just so that you are aware of their presence in town.      

More Rain in Forecast Tuesday and Wednesday

There is rain in the forecast today (Tuesday) and some significant rain and storms are expected on Wednesday.  Please keep an eye on the weather for your own safety. 

The city would appreciate it if those who are physically able could check to make sure that street sewer drains near your home are not clogged with debris and storm damage related runoff.  The concern is that with so many limbs, branches and leaves curbside that the impending rain will sweep debris around the drains and cause localized flooding.
