Continued Red Cross Support

While Red Cross Intake Centers and Multi-Agency Resource Centers (MARCs) have now concluded, the Red Cross continues to provide assistance to eligible households. Residents whose homes sustained major damage or were destroyed may still apply for Red Cross financial assistance through Friday, July 11. Individuals who believe they may be eligible can contact the Red Cross at 1-800-RED CROSS (800-733-2767) to speak with a representative and begin the application process.

To help ensure the Red Cross reaches as many impacted residents as possible, the Red Cross will also be using verified contact information associated with damaged properties to send text messages and emails inviting eligible households to apply for assistance. These messages will include a secure QR code directing recipients to the application process.

Because these outreach messages may be unexpected, the Red Cross asked that I share this information with residents in advance so residents understand these communications are legitimate and do not mistakenly disregard them as spam or a scam. The Red Cross aims to reach eligible households directly while avoiding unnecessary confusion or concern.
