October 27, 2026 Update from the Mayor
Attention Hickory Hills Dog Owners!: Hickory Hills Dog Park Opening Saturday, October 31 at 10 a.m.
Please join us for the “soft” opening to our city’s new dog park located at 7740 W. 98th Street. The opening was delayed due to summer storm related damage to the park. Though the dog park is not totally completed, we are anxious to open it this year while the weather is still nice. We will do a brief ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. and since Saturday is Halloween feel free to dress up your dog in his or her favorite costume for our park opening ceremony photo!
The dog park is free to residents and parking is available on 98th Street. Even if you cannot make it at 10 a.m. for the official opening, we hope that you can find time this weekend to bring your pooch for a little play time. Moving forward, dog park hours will be every day from 7 a.m. to dusk.
